Day-8

Selmer Tennessee to Lula Mississippi...
Although
we're now at day-nine in our 35-day journey, it feels as though we've
been on the trail much, much longer. The days have been long
and we're all feeling the effects of being outside our comfort-zone
with long days of mental and physical challenges. On the one hand
we’d all like a break to rest up bit, but on the other we’ve
had such a great adventure so far everyone’s eager to see what
will happen next. After breakfast we all headed outside to tweak the
bikes and implement the new camera equipment that Chris and Mathew
had acquired in the past few days. This took some extra time, giving
the riders a late start once again.
All
geared up with new camera equipment in place, the riders were off,
eager to make up whatever time they could. The Trans-Am Trail section
is shorter today than most of our previous days and it will also be
our first state line crossing as we head
into Mississippi. After the riders were on their way, Chris
and Mathew stayed behind to secure sleeping arrangements in Lula Mississippi,
only to find that the one hotel in Lula is a Casino Resort and was
totally booked up for the night… so they said.
