This month was one that was supposed to be the start of a break through month for RLT! Unfortunately it has turned out to be anything but.

This project has been a long and difficult road for us, but progress is being made and we are closer than ever to finding a home for the Road Less Traveled movie. However, due to reasons you will read about in this newsletter, there will be no video clip in this newsletter edition. But, you will learn about a very big move for RLT and you'll also hear about yet another setback. And for those of you who haven't yet seen the final trailer that we sent exclusively to subscribers last month, you have another opportunity to see it in this newsletter before it goes public.

You may have noticed that this newsletter is a double newsletter for November and December. It will also serve as the last private newsletter for the year (more on that in a bit).

As always we appreciate your support and continued interest in following this project. You are our truest fans and deserve a lot of recognition for not only sticking with us but showing your continued excitement and anticipation through many wonderful emails. Let's keep moving forward together!

We had some very specific goals for the month of November. We did not meet them all. They were a bit aggressive, as has been this entire project, but we have to keep ourselves moving forward and staying aggressive keeps us on our toes. Let's look at what we did accomplish. Our November goals were:

1. Get RLT moved out to California.

2. Get the editing station into an Avid certified shop to fix problem with exporting Audio timelines.

3. Get Audio timelines to our Sound Designer in order to complete sound design on all trailers.

4. Post final trailer publicly on www.rltmovie.com

5. START PITCHING COMPLETED TRAILERS!
1. RLT did move from Missouri to California. The move was drawn out longer than expected though as James became very sick and had to delay the move several days. Feeling better and ready to go the Yukon (which had been the chase vehicle during our adventure) had major mechanical problems that needed repair before carrying the edit station from Missouri to California. The combination of the two issues ate up the entire first week of November! Once James finally did hit the road, he made record time getting out to L.A. in just 2 days.

2. The very day that James showed up in California, he turned the edit station over to an Avid certified shop in Irvine, CA in order to fix the problem as fast as possible. Getting the audio files and timelines to our Sound Designer was riding on how quickly the edit station could be fixed and returned to James. At the time this original newsletter was written, the shop still had the editing system. Everyday for weeks, James called the shop in anticipation of good news, everyday he was told "it should be ready tomorrow." Frustration doesn't even begin to describe the feeling we had because as long as the shop had our editing system we were in a holding pattern. There was nothing that could be done.

Fortunately, in the time between when this newsletter was written and when it was translated to the electronic format you receive it in, James did receive the editing system back (along with a few new audio tricks) and is working on getting the audio files to our Sound Designer as we speak.

So, that's as far as we've gotten! Only 2 out of the 5 goals checked off! Although we now have the editing system back, we got it back the last day of November. Not at all what we expected. But we're grateful to be back in business and moving forward once again.
While November was not the month we hoped for in regards to RLT, we've all been keeping busy. On top of just about all of us traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday to visit family, James has been searching for apartments in So. Cal, Steven has been working hard and doing very well as a Karate Instructor, Michael has been doing some traveling, and Chris and his wife are getting ready to make a move from Boston to Cincinnati where they'll start new day jobs. So there has been a lot going on, just not the kind of stuff that we hoped for RLT.

This would also be a good time to welcome our new newsletter subscribers. Despite the fact that we haven't really been promoting ourselves too much yet, we've continued to grow our newsletter by about 8% a month. That is due primarily to word of mouth and newsletters being forwarded by you all. Thank you and please continue to do so!

Trailer
For those of you who are new we just finished up our final trailer which we hope to promote to interested cable networks. The trailer runs about 3.5 minutes long but gives a great overview of our adventure and the excitement and depth a cable series can provide for RLT. The trailer is compressed for high quality video, therefore it may take a few minutes to load to your machine. Be patient. It will be worth your while.
Teaser #2
Before the trailer there were two teasers . Watch the intensity build from one teaser to the next and finally culminating in a superb 3.5 minute, final, full- length Trailer.
There's one very important note for our Newsletter Members: This will be our final private newsletter. From now on all past and future newsletters will be posted publicly on our website.

We hope that this will help make RLT more visible to a larger audience, including possible Television Networks. We also hope it will help us garner even more support through new fans who come across our website in searches and want to learn more about RLT!

But don't worry. As Newsletter members you will still receive a monthly notice to let you know the newsletters are posted to make sure you remain up to date with "Road Less Traveled!"

A personal note from James: "I owe many of you a sincere apology. I've been in an absolute tail spin between trying to get out to California, trying to find a place to live and, more importantly, trying to get our editing station back from the shop in order to keep RLT moving forward.

Needless to say I've been very busy and as a result have fallen behind on many e-mails. I sincerely respect and appreciate everyone who has stayed in touch and has great interest not only in RLT but my efforts as well. It warms my heart to know that you're out there and you're looking forward to seeing "Road Less Traveled." So I apologize to those of you who haven't heard back from me yet, and I promise to be in touch soon!"

-James Beatty
Trying to summarize a 5 week adventure into a 4 minute trailer is tough stuff to say the least. And I can assure you, there has been a lot of behind the scenes work between gathering facts and research about some of our destinations, logging video, recording with Rick Johnson, working with our Sound Designer, keeping these newsletters going, providing monthly clips, and of course the actual editing of all the video you've seen to date.

When you think that most of this work has been orchestrated and conducted by James himself, it's quite a feat.

So then what are the next steps? First off...

WE WILL BE ACITIVELY LOOKING FOR AN AGENT TO REPRESENT US while James continues work on a pilot show.

If you'll remember our goal is to format this adventure as a cable television series. That way we can show you more of our adventure than just an hour or two. Our trip was so filled with amazing experiences and remarkable sites that in order to preserve the vastness of the adventure, and frankly the storyline, we need to try to tell it this way.

So from here we move into the pitch. We will be getting together in the near future to compile our thoughts on just how to present this project to potential buyers. We've already begun to build some contacts and resources from which to start. We are also hoping to be able to tap our friends over at Spinning Blue Productions who put together the recent documentary hit "10 mph: Seattle to Boston".

So, enjoy the teasers, the trailer. Check the website for updates regularly. And tell your friends about the "Road Less Traveled!"
