Well, this newsletter is going to be a little different this month. Everything that we've been building up to over the past several months has been toward the finished full length trailer we've been promising. Well, it's finally here. Therefore, this newsletter is going to be short and sweet and we're going to let the trailer do the talking for us.

As usual you are the first to see and hear this trailer. It will not be posted publicly to the web for another couple of weeks to give you the opportunity to view it first.

In the next couple of weeks, we will post this trailer on our website publicly. Until then, enjoy your exclusive peak.

In 2003 James and Stephen's father Skip Beatty passed on after a bout with Leukemia. Skip was a wonderful father and husband and taught James and his brother Steven how to ride. But more importantly he taught them responsibility, discipline, the right way to treat people, and he helped them become men.

After dealing with the untimely death of their father, James and Steven strove to honor his tremendous character, big heart, and amazing life. What better way to commemorate their father than to express the freedom he gave them by riding across a beautiful but sometimes treacherous country together the way their father had taught them years earlier. As a filmmaker it was natural for James to want to document the momentous and awesome ride.

So, an idea was launched. As James researched a practical way to fulfill his idea he discovered Sam Carrero and the Trans-America Trail. A series of off-road, fire and jeep trails stretching nearly 5,000 miles from the Tennessee/Kentucky border, across 10 states to the beautiful Pacific coast of Oregon.
James approached those of us who would make up the crew to Road Less Traveled. He worked closely with Chris his producer to plan out the details of the trip. During this time James managed to touch base with Rick Johnson, Mouse McCoy, and Dana Brown of the famed documentary "From Dust to Glory". After some advice from the guys James was ready to embark on this fantastic journey.

Final preparations were made. James and Steven's uncle Mike helped rig their mother's Yukon XL with power to charge all the many batteries that will be used with cameras, walkie- talkies, etc. Sponsor deals were finalized and we all arrived in St. Louis. James and Steven's Mother Karen, who also contributed quite a bit to this adventure graciously housed 5 rowdy guys and a rediculous amount of mess!

The next day the adventure began. 5 weeks. 5,000 miles of dirt trails. 10 states. Half a dozen cameras. Three dual-sport motorcycles and a stuffed Yukon. What a trip!
As you know, we've been building up to the final trailer for months. James has poured his life into this project over the past year. From logging and dissecting over 150 hrs. of raw footage, to 2 months of intense, sleep deprived editing, it's finally ready for you, our dearest fans, to view. Take a look and give us your feedback.

The trailer runs almost 4 minutes long and is compressed for high quality video. Therefore it may take a few minutes for the trailer to load to your machine. Be patient. It will be worth your while.

Teaser #2
Before the trailer there were two teasers . Watch the intensity build from one teaser to the next and final culminating in the final full- length Trailer.
Trying to summarize a 5 week adventure into a 4 minute trailer is tough stuff to say the least. And I can assure you, there has been a lot of behind the scenes work between gathering facts and research about some of our destinations, logging video, recording with Rick Johnson, working with our sound designer, keeping these newsletters going and providing monthly clips, and of course the actual editing of all the video you've seen to date.

When you think that most of this work has been orchestrated and conducted by James himself, it's quite a feat. And, I'll tell you in the utmost confidence that James told me the other day he already has a skeleton pilot show put together! So then what are the next steps? First off...

WE WILL BE ACITIVELY LOOKING FOR AN AGENT TO REPRESENT US while James continues work on a pilot show.

If you'll remember our goal is to format this adventure as a cable television series. That way we can show you more of our adventure than just an hour or two. Our trip was so filled with amazing experiences and remarkable sites that in order to preserve the vastness of the adventure, and frankly the storyline, we need to try to tell it this way.

So from here we move into the pitch. We will be getting together in the near future to compile our thoughts on just how to present this project to potential buyers. We've already begun to build some contacts and resources from which to begin. We are also hoping to be able to tap our friends over at Spinning Blue Productions who put together the recent documentary hit "10 mph: Seattle to Boston".

So, enjoy the Trailer. Check the website for updates regularly. And tell your friends about the "Road Less Traveled!"
