Sorry about the delay on the June Newsletter. It's been a very busy month. However, the news I wanted to be able to pass along in this month's newsletter has not come to fruition... hence the delay. Before I continue let me explain why I'm writing this newsletter instead of my brother.

Steven was riding a Jet Ski recently and thought it would be a great idea to do a back flip by jumping the Jet Ski in the air. According to Steve, he landed the back flip by going nose first into the water. The force of hitting the water threw one of his knees straight into his cheek bone. Now the whole side of his face and skull is swollen up and black and blue. He seems to be okay, but he's just taking it nice and easy for the moment. So I get the duties of writing the Newsletter this month!

We are making fantastic progress on the Pilot T.V. show! As we continue to piece the story-telling power of this adventure together, the voice of our project is starting to shine. One of the things I have been most worried about was how to include all of the amazing, natural wonders we saw and all the stories within the landscapes we traversed without slowing down the tale of our adventurous, off-road, road trip across America.

Fortunately, I can proudly say with confidence that is no longer an issue. Imagine "Road Less Traveled" as a meal: the off-road adventure is the Entree and the sites, people, and stories are perfect complimentary Side Dishes! I don't think I can explain it any better than that. What this new view of our adventure is doing is giving RLT a very unique voice.

I really can't wait to finish the pilot and start shopping it around to cable networks. As you know we are looking to sell the project as a T.V. series rather than a feature film. By doing this we can show you much more of our adventure. My target goal to finish the Pilot show is Sept. 10th! Only a few more short months and then we can start looking for a buyer. So hang in there everyone!
No great work is without it's challenges. Lord knows we had enough of them out on the trail, But the truth is they continue in the post production of the project as well.

Currently our largest obstacle is finishing up shooting with our host, Rick Johnson. I wanted to be able to tell you all that we had finished shooting his host segments, but unfortunately I cannot say that yet.

Of course it's not Rick's fault. The guy is out straight with a crazy list of commitments that he's currently tied up in. To say that he's busy is a supreme understatement. We greatly appreciate Rick's contribution to our project and are doing everything possible to work within his schedule. Some of the things he's tied up with right now include...

1. Racing. He races trucks full time in the CORR series and is racing in the Baja 500 too.
2. "Epic Ride" (his current T.V. show) on Speed TV needs him to traverse the Western U.S. to complete the 1st season.
3. School. Rick is owner and main coach of Rick Johnson's MX School of Champions. This motocross school teaches people to ride like the "Bad Boy" himself.

But it doesn't stop there. The list goes on to include:

4. Owner of an amateur motocross team.
5. A husband and father of 3!
6. More...

Needless to say, it's been tough to get him in front of the camera again to finish our shoot. Perhaps it's cliche but that doesn't make it any less true, every dark tunnel has a light at the end of it. So, there is good news! We've just scheduled & confirmed July 13th as the day we will both set aside to finish his shoot for our Pilot. Shortly following that appointment will be a day in the sound stage to record Rick's voice over narration. If we hold to these scheduled meetings, I should be able to stay on target for finishing the Pilot show of "Road Less Traveled" by Sept. 10th!
This month's short video clip looks at one of the most awesome sites we saw on our trip. I mean that literally. Crater Lake is a huge crater that was formed 7,000 years ago when Mt. Mazzama erupted and collapsed.

Crater Lake is the 7th deepest lake in the world and the deepest in the United States. Notice the intense blue color of the water. That's because the water is supplied from over 500 inches of melted snow each year. There is no dirt or mud, no inlets or outlets to mix with the purity of the snow. At 6 miles wide with cliffs up to 2,000 ft., it really is an incredible site. As Steven said, we are all so glad to have had the opportunity to see it.

We gaurantee you'll dig these trailers and your friends will too.
We've got a fairly new My Space page! Right now it's as basic as you can get since we don't know how to use My Space. But you do. We want you to build our My Space page. Send your ideas, any code you know, and instructions to newsletter@roadlesstraveledmovie.com We'll take the best ideas and impliment them on the page.

In the meantime, there are some pictures posted there. Please feel free to check it out and if you have any suggestions or tips email us at newsletter@raodlesstraveledmovie.com We'd love to make our My Space page searchable to the public and learn how to do cool stuff with it. So really, if you have suggestions, please do let us know.

Don't forget to check out the June video clip, the teaser trailers, and to encourage your friends and family to sign up for the RLT Buzz newsletter!
