The year is moving fast as Spring is already here!! The bikes are back in shape after a winter's hiatus and I've been out riding my bike almost every free moment I get. However, a twenty mile ride here and there doesn't seem to do it for me. I miss the two hundred miles of dirt per day we experienced on the trip. I find myself daydreaming about the canyons in Utah, the mountains in Colorado and the forests of Arkansas as I cruise down the same old highways.

Steven Beatty

James is headed out to California this coming Saturday to shoot with Rick Johnson. The shoot is coming together better than anyone could have expected as James will now be shooting on some trails and dirt roads with RJ. He has a great list of shots he wants to get, and I'm just jealous that I don't get to ride with the Bad Boy (Rick Johnson).

In the meantime the editing continues. Things are really moving along well. I find it's easy to forget how long the Post Production process takes, but James continues to diligently sit at his computer most of the day working away. He's a perfectionist to the highest degree when it comes to his work. He will work and rework a shot until he is completely satisfied. I have never heard him say, "Eh, good enough", or anything to that degree. Every second on this film is being put under James's scrutinizing eye over and over again. It is amazing to see and you'll be amazed at the outcome.

But on top of preparing for his riding/filming with Rick Johnson and his tedious hours of editing, James has also finally found some free time to switch out his old ruptured gas tank on his motorcycle for a newer "non-leaking" model. If you don't know the story about the gas tank yet, you will when you see the film. It's nice to see James's bike riding around without leaving a trail of gasoline behind it.
Teaser #2
If you've been to our website recently, as we know you have, you'd know that we've got a new teaser trailer up for viewing! Whereas our first teaser trailer gave you a hint of the beautiful and constantly amazing country we crossed, this new teaser trailer digs a little deeper.

You'll get to see a few of the friendly, curious folks we met along the way, get a flare for some of the challenges we faced, and just get more of an overall feeling of what it was like to cross the Trans America Trail as brothers. Plus it's longer.

We gaurantee you'll dig this new teaser trailer while James and Rick Johnson film the narration stuff for our full length trailer. Our Producer, Chris Rankin, just saw the new trailer for the first time and was crying because of how awesome it was. Okay, he didn't actually cry but he thought is was an awesome overview summary of our trip.

SO CHECK OUT THE NEW TEASER TRAILER AND THEN GET EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO CHECK IT OUT!!!! THIS FILM IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!!
Well, we promised you an exclusive video clip each month, so her you go. This is a short but ever so true clip. It's short because of the time James had to spend this month preparing for his California trip and editing the second teaser trailer. But the shortness does not take away from the matter of fact truth of it's statement.

Dual sport motorcycles are tough. They go anywhere, anytime, and as we proved on our trip across the country, they can go as far as you need them to. These bikes get the job done. Enjoy this months exclusive video clip!
Things to look forward to include the final trailer with Rick Johnson, and putting the pilot TV show of RLT together. That should be happening within the month of May and early June. Then from there it's time to sell the project as a short series to a cable network. We're hoping that the few contacts James has will pan out. Nonetheless, it's an exciting time for "Road Less Traveled."

Don't forget to check out the new video clip, the n ew teaser trailer, and to encourage your friends and family to sign up for the RLT Buzz newsletter!
